The Historical Africa Cultural Center Advisory Board has a Composition and Representation of Africa as Board Members and Officers/Management of the Non-Profit Organization. We have Six Economic/Regional Communities, including the Diaspora. Each region is represented on our Board, in other to truly represent the entire Continent. He is the author of over one hundred (100) articles, chapters, research reports and books, including African Psychology: Toward its Reclamation, Reascension and Revitalization, Seeking the Sakhu: Foundational Writings in African Psychology, The Island of Memes: Haiti’s Unfinished Revolution. Since 1996, he has co-led “The Enyimnyam Project”, a unique and special study-development project designed to connect Africans from the Diaspora with Africans from the continent.
He is a Professor of History and one of Nigeria’s leading academics, who has authored dozens of books and over 150 publications in chapters in books and articles in learned journals. His contributions to Nigerian history span the fields of Military and Strategic Studies, Culture history, Nigeria’s Islamic culture, Yoruba Inter-state Warfare, Nigeria’s Identity Question, among others.
He has been inducted into the fellowship of several academic and national societies including the American College of Physicians (FACP), American Society of Nephrology (FASN), National Kidney Foundation (FNKF), American Society of Diagnostic & Interventional Nephrology (FASDIN), American Society of Nuclear Cardiology (FASNC), International College of Angiology (FICA), American Society of Angiology (FASA), American College of Cardiology (FACC) and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography & Interventions (FSCAI). He has been recognized in the United States, United Kingdom and Africa for his many contributions to the medical field as well as being one of the pioneers in his field. Dr. Badero believes in giving back and he is involved in medical mission work as well as non-profit organizations that help alleviate the disparity in healthcare delivery especially in Africa and other medically underserved areas across the globe. He is also involved in mentorship programs for young physicians and scientists alike and has been invited by many academic institutions where he teaches resident physicians and medical students periodically. He has been involved in raising awareness of the interrelationship between the heart and kidney through various continuing medical education (CME) and speaking programs. He has served as a consultant to some African Countries in establishing cardio-renal programs, cardiac centers of excellence as well as training and skills transfer.
His research interests include the performance of power in post-independence Africa and identity formation in popular culture in Africa and the African Diaspora. Mũtonya is currently working on migration in Africa and the Caribbean as well as on the AfroMexican identities and representations of blackness in Mexico. (co-edited, 2018); ‘Grammar of Patriarchy’: Women and Elections in Kenya’ (2020); “Language as a Liberation Aesthetic: Ngũgĩ’s Use of Gĩkũyũ in Mũrogi wa Kagogo [Wizard of the Crow] and other Works“ Repensando lo Rural en la Música Popular Africana,” (2019); “Dancing to the Marriage Beat(ing): The Gender Debate in a Gĩkũyũ Popular Music Discourse”, (2018); and “Las Migraciones Transfronterizas en los Países del Caribe” (2018).
Bruce George is a visionary, executive producer, writer, poet, and activist. He was born and raised in New York City. He has written poetry/prose & articles for over 37 years. His work has been published in major magazines, anthologies, and literary publications. He has written testimonials from the likes of Essence Magazine, Emerge Magazine, Class Magazine, Harlem River Press. Bruce has won multiple poetry & talent contests. He has won several awards such as a Peabody Award and a Miky Award for “Russell Simmons Presents, Def Poetry (HBO),” an Upscale Show.
She has lived in and worked in Louisiana, Maryland, California, Nigeria, Kuwait and Dubai and Jamaica. She has traveled to over 30 countries. She is currently the Chief Strategist at Nobles Global Consulting firm which offers a youth leadership academy, travel opportunities through Africa and educational consulting.
In addition to a weekly radio show on WOWD, 94.3 FM , he is the co-founder of a media operation that produces entertainment and educational programming for radio, television and live events under the banner of Jolly Papa. Clients include local businesses, counties, and federal agencies. Eme is also the founder and creative leader of Eme & Heteru, a DC-based Afro-Roots ensemble. He has been honored with several “wammie” award nominations by his peers in the Washington Area Music Association.
